This lovely donkey, Paddy OD, arrived at our Sanctuary in Ireland in a dreadful condition. His feet were appallingly overgrown and he had an untreated injury to his hind leg caused by a piece of wire that had become ingrown right down to the bone. It was painful for him to walk and he will now require our expert care and attention for the rest of his life.

Rena Daniels is a very special lady having just celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends around her. Along with a telegram from the Queen, Rena also received a birthday card from our donkeys!

Out of the blue, I received a telephone call today from Steve, a colleague I used to work with at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) to say he and his partner, Ruth, were on holiday and wondered whether I was around to drop in and say hello ... and see the donkeys of course.
