A month ago, two foster donkeys left the Sanctuary on a journey to their new home in North Wales.

Life didn’t look too bright for five year old donkey Markie when he was found abandoned along a road near Newmarket in Ireland in October 1997. Luckily for him, the local police signed him over to The Donkey Sanctuary in Liscarroll when no owner could be found for him, and his prospects began to improve.
