Frequently asked questions

Field of Dreams logo

Each Field of Dreams Fund is individual, named after your loved one and allows friends, family and colleagues to raise money to help a cause that mattered to them. For example, the friends and relations of John Smith might support the John Smith Field of Dreams Fund.

Funds can be for members of your family, a friend or a much-loved pet.

You can support the Field of Dreams Fund in whichever way you choose. Some people bake and sell cakes, some run marathons or host events whilst many others simply decide to make a donation on a significant date, like a birthday, anniversary or other special commemorative date.

How many funds do you have?

We currently have 241 Field of Dreams Funds.

We are delighted that so many Field of Dreams Funds have been established since we introduced them in 2005. They are a testament to the treasured memories of loved ones now passed away and are helping us to continue in our vital work improving the lives of donkeys worldwide. The list of Field of Dreams Funds (see below) demonstrates the enormous comfort the funds provide; we have only included details if we have been given express permission to do so.

How can I raise additional funds?

There are many ways that family and friends can make further contributions to the Field of Dreams Fund. Here are some simple examples:

  • Single donations on special occasions, significant dates or anniversaries.
  • Regular monthly gifts by standing order.
  • Organising a fund-raising event.
  • Getting sponsorship from friends and family to undertake a challenge.
